You bought Nervous System 101. Here’s what I rebuilt.
If you came here from my email, this part is for you. I tore Nervous System 101 down to the studs and taught the new version live to my 2026 Feel Without Fear women this summer. You keep your access to the old one. This is what’s different:
It’s only sold on its own through 11:59 PM US/Central on October 31. Get it before then and it’s yours for life.
You know a lot about your nervous system. Probably more than most people in your life. You can name your triggers, your attachment style, the state you’re in, and the childhood that built it. And it’s still making a lot of your decisions for you.
It shows up in the smallest places, like when somebody’s tone shifts and you’re re-explaining yourself before they’ve even finished the sentence, or somebody asks for a little space and your body decides they’re leaving, or you go to post the thing and feel resistance and decide it must not be the right time. You keep waiting to feel safe before you do anything, and you never quite get there.
Somewhere along the way, your life got arranged around not getting triggered. You need it to be a padded room. You need to be bubble wrapped. My nervous system can’t handle that. I have to avoid that or I’m not ok.
You chose safety, but you’re not free.
Why knowing more hasn’t helped
And I want to be really clear that nervous system language is so necessary. We need it to talk to each other and to our therapists, and we need it for healing trauma and building capacity and understanding what our bodies are doing. But somewhere along the way we took that language and applied it to our whole lives, and now we don’t take the risk or use our agency because we’re waiting to feel safe.
So learning more about your nervous system isn’t going to get you out of this. You can know exactly which state you’re in, and in the moment you actually get triggered, none of that knowledge comes online.
What you actually want
You want to stop waiting to feel safe before you live your life. When your body says no, you want to know whether it’s telling you the truth about right now, because sometimes your nervous system is accurately tracking that you are unsafe, for real, and sometimes it’s laying an old story over the person in front of you.
And you want to be yourself, in your relationships and in your work, with your authority back where it belongs, in your own lived experience.
What this workshop gives you
This workshop is the next step. You already know a lot about your nervous system, and you understand how important it is, and you know it gets triggered and puts you in automatic survival responses and makes your decisions for you. Now you step into discerning. Is the threat real, or is it perceived?
I teach you to use your body as information, but not instruction. You feel what’s happening, pause, check it against reality, and then choose. It’s just under 2 hours of teaching, recorded live with my 2026 Feel Without Fear women. Keep the slides open while you watch. Here’s what we get into:
- The 4 things your nervous system does every time it’s activated: what it believes is happening, how much energy it makes, where that energy goes, and whether it’s allowed out
- Your friend says we need to talk. Why one woman thinks shit, they’re upset with me, and another doesn’t think twice
- How to discern a real-time threat from a perceived threat
- Why “just listen to your body” is really bad advice
- Your nervous system is like a radio antenna. It’s giving you signals all the time. Do you know how to tell a clean one from a distorted one?
- What makes the signal cleaner, including the lifestyle inflammation nobody wants to look at
- Why your body experiences authenticity as a risk, and how to be yourself anyway
- The 2 truths in the room, your Animal Body’s and your Soul Body’s, and why neither one gets to outrank the other
- What it really means to be your authentic self: orienting your life to the tending of your own authenticity
Why I rebuilt it
I used to teach a workshop called Nervous System 101. It was a very, very scientific workshop, with a lot of Polyvagal Theory in it, and it gave people a ton of intellectual understanding. But in the moment of being triggered, it just doesn’t fucking matter.
Stephen Porges, the guy who created Polyvagal Theory, knows way more about anatomy and cellular function than I ever will, or ever care to, to be totally honest with you. My gift is that I’m a great pattern recognizer, especially in relationships. And after working with close to 1,000 nervous systems, this workshop is what I know actually works.
What close to 1,000 nervous systems taught me
Nervous systems heal in slowness. The words nervous system, trauma healing, somatic, and fast do not belong in the same sentence. Ever.
You can get some quick relief and have some really quick insights, but relief is always temporary. Building capacity and integrating as you go is how relief becomes resolution, and it takes years. You’re not behind, no matter where you are.
True regulation means you have the capacity for stress and discomfort, the flexibility to feel your full emotional range, and the resilience to bounce back.
What people call being stuck is usually a nervous system that’s very patterned and rehearsed toward the responses that helped you survive. A triggered nervous system is not a truthful storyteller, and it can’t heal in the same environment that made it sick.
The part that scared me to teach
When I hit the slide about self-worship the first time I taught this, my whole torso went hot with anxiety, because I knew here’s the edge, here it goes. I was a worship leader’s wife for 12 years. To talk about self-worship, having grown up as a Christian, is the edgiest fucking thing I could ever do.
So let me be really clear. I’m using worship in the original sense of the word. To worship is to orient your life to the tending of something sacred. And the sacred thing is you.
Humans are always bowing to something, even if we don’t use that word. We bow to fear. We bow to approval. We bow to urgency, to the need to stay safe, chosen, included, in control. We bow to the version of ourselves who learned to survive by pleasing or overfunctioning or disappearing or over-explaining or fawning. So we’re already bowing to something.
When you feel the surge in your body and you pause, check your perception, find your discernment, and then choose from your integrity, you are refusing to let survival choose for you. That’s submission to your authentic self. That’s all it means.
This is not a cult. You are allowed to think for yourself.
Being yourself is going to cost you something
At first, authenticity feels expensive and dangerous. You will not always be liked, and not everyone will think your true self is amazing and wonderful, and you will lose people, and it will hurt. That’s the cost of being yourself.
Yes, living truthfully is going to cost you. But not living truthfully also costs you. Which one are you willing to pay?
What changes
Their tone still shifts and your body still tightens, and I’m not going to promise you that part goes away, because it doesn’t. The difference is that you notice it before you start re-explaining yourself, and you ask what you actually believe is happening, and you let them finish the sentence.
You go to post the thing and feel resistance, and you ask yourself whether it’s intuition or fear dressed up as intuition, because sometimes it’s one and sometimes it’s the other. And sometimes you post anyway.
The same fight comes around for the 12th time, and you say what’s underneath your anger: I’m scared I’m going to have to do everything myself.
Questions you might have
Do I lose my old Nervous System 101?
No. If you own it, you keep your access to it. This is a separate purchase.
Is it really different, or is it the same workshop with new slides?
It’s rebuilt from scratch. The old one taught you the science and the names of the states. This one teaches you what to do in the moment your body reacts, and it goes into authenticity, authority, and self-worship, which the old one never touched.
How long is it?
Just under 2 hours of teaching, plus the full slide deck as a PDF.
Do I have to watch it live?
No. It’s a replay, and it’s yours for life. Watch it at your own pace, and come back to it whenever you need it.
What happens after October 31?
It stops being sold on its own. After that, it only lives inside Feel Without Fear.
